The minis are out for the week which means family trips and fun events. We rounded (get it) up our top three ideas in Seattle, and beyond, from Red Tricycle:

Dr. Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat
See all your fave characters in SCT’s latest production based on the book by Dr. Seuss and the play originally produced by The National Theatre of Great Britain. Watch as The Cat in the Hat busts the boredom of a rainy afternoon with all sorts of zaniness, while rhyming his way through the house. Thurs. & Fri., 7 p.m.; Sat., 2 p.m. & 5:30 p.m.;  Sun., 11 a.m. & 2:30 p.m. (various dates through May 27). Seattle. $15. Tickets required. Ages 3 & up. Event details.

Spring Safari: African Wildlife Conservation Day
Celebrate the African Savanna and the amazing animals that live there during this special event at Woodland Park Zoo. Attend educational keeper talks and special enrichment sessions to learn more about issues like illegal poaching and habitat loss and learn how your choices and actions can help save giraffe, lions, ostrich and other critical savanna animals. Sat., 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Seattle. Included with zoo admission or membership. All ages. Event details.

Arbor Day-Earth Day Family Festival
Celebrate Earth Day by participating in park enhancement projects at Lewis Creek Park and other Bellevue-area parks followed by lots of free family activities. Kids can obtain a Discovery Passport and enter the raffle for collecting stamps from various eco-stations, participate in ranger walks and eco-friendly activities and much more. Sat., 9 a.m.–1:30 p.m. Bellevue. Free. Registration required for volunteer projects. All ages. Event details.

We hope you have a great week. Come into the cafes for coloring book fun with the kiddos along with latte treats for you.
