Mighty-O’s Prizewinning Namesake
Wednesday, June 24th, 2009We were quite surprised to get a phone call announcing that our name has been winning awards and championships lately! No, not for our baking or for our organic foods or sustainability. Our name has been winning dog shows! An adorable little Shih Tzu named Mighty-O after our donuts has earned a large collection of trophies. We’ll let her introduce herself:
“Hello… I’m miss MiGHTY O of Park Avenue. I’m a champion, especially here at home with Kaaren and Ron… My room is lined with blue ribbons- best in breed - best in show ribbons… it was with hugs and kisses that my parents Sharon and Ed Nye retired me from the show rings so I could have the luxury of dragging my New York purse around the house. Secret: my favorite is my baby sock with the hidden treasure: A SQUEAKER !!!”

Tuesday, May 19th, 2009Well-known food critics Jane and Michael Stern, best known for their website and book about Road Food, have just released a new book called 500 Things to Eat Before It’s Too Late, and the Very Best Places to Eat Them. Mighty-O is in it!
